Game Recap

The Falcons were back in OAA action on Thursday night at the Detroit Skating Club. The Dragon defeated the Falcons 4-3.

Collin Finn started off the scoring for the Falcons at 2:23 of the 1st period with a slapshot goal from the top of the circle. Kody Jackson with the assist.

Lake Orion would tie it up at the 9:00 mark. Josh Frketich credited with the goal.

The Falcons would regain the lead at 9:44. Nate Arnold scoring with assists to Joe Carbone and Tanner Neill.

The Dragons tied it up :30 later with a goal from Kyle Roberts.

A fast, well paced 1st period ends at 2-2.

The Dragons grabbed the 3-2 lead in the 2nd period. Gabe Potyk scoring at 11:11.

Lake Orion would extend their lead by 2 goals. Conner Graham scored at 11:47 of the 3rd.

The Falcons would get it to within one goal with their goalie pulled for an extra attacker. Tanner Neill scored with :26 seconds remaining. Assist to Tyler Baird.

Farmington couldn’t get the game tying goal, losing 4-3.

Max Watson was in net for the Falcons, facing 39 shots (4 GAA).

Next up for FHS is the 2nd game of the MPHSH Showcase in Chelsea. The Falcons play Marysville on Saturday night at 8:00pm.

Game Recap

In their first game of the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase, the Farmington Falcons defeated Dearborn Unified 7-0 on Monday night.

A combination of good defense, solid goal tending and executing on offense was in full force for the Falcons at the Arctic Coliseum in Chelsea.

The Falcons scored their first goal 1:21 into the contest. Joe Carbone put in the Power Play goal, assisted by Tanner Neill and Collin Rea.

One minute later, Ben Jugan scored to make it 2-0. Assist to Rea.

The Falcons would add 2 more goals in the 1st period. Collin Rea at 4:45, assists to Eli Arnold and Kyle Lawson. Collin Finn on the Power Play at 15:44, assists to Tyler Baird and Charlie Saranen. Falcons with a 4-0 lead going into the 1st intermission.

The Falcons would extend the lead to 5-0 in the 2nd period with a goal from Eli Arnold at the 16:56 mark. Assists to Rea ( 4 point game!) and Saranen.

In the 3rd period, the Falcons would add 2 more goals. Tanner Neill, unassisted at 8:49 and Zach Kniffin at 10:44 (assist to Kody Jackson).

The Falcons posted a season high 51 shots on the opposing goal.

Max Watson was in net for the Falcons, registering his 1st shutout of the season. Watson stopped all 40 shots on net.

Next up for Farmington is an OAA contest on Thursday night at the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills against the Lake Orion Dragons. Game time 7:45pm.

The Falcons play game #2 of the MPHSH Showcase in Chelsea on Saturday night at 8:00pm vs. Marysville.

Game Recap

The Falcons traveled up to the Onxy for the OAA/Metro League Crossover games on Saturday afternoon. The Woodhaven Warriors defeated the Falcons 6-2.

The Warriors picked up 2 goals in the 1st period. Joel Alexander scored at 7:25 and Michael Faremouth at 8:32 to grad the 2-0 lead going into the 1st intermission.

Woodhaven would pick up another goal by Alexander early in the 2nd to extend the lead to 3-0. Two short-handed goals by the Warriors would extend the lead to 5-0. Zach Robinson and Dylan Gajewski picked up the goals.

The Falcons scored at 8:31 to get on the scoreboard. Joe Carbone was assisted by Eli Arnold and Kyle Lawson.

The Warriors added another goal at 9:40 to increase the lead to 6-1.

Farmington would pick up a goal late by Carter Wells. The goal at 12:35 was assisted by Tanner Neill and Carbone.

Hunter Firestone was in net making 19 saves through periods 1 and 7:57 of the 2nd.
Drew Eaton made 12 saves in for 9:03 of the 2nd and the 3rd.

Next up for the Falcons is the Michigan High School Public Hockey Showcase in Chelsea (Arctic Coliseum) on Monday. The Falcons take on Dearborn Unified at 7:45pm.

Game was part of the Detroit Public School Holiday Tournament played at Detroit King HS vs Detroit Frederick Douglass. Frederick Douglass fought back from a 15 point halftime and 4th quarter deficit to win. Leading Frederick Douglass was Kelly Broadus with 33 points, Janard Smith had 19 points and Carlos Walker added 14 points. Farmington was led by Jordan Graham’s 24 points, Jay Kirby added 20 points and Tyrell Jackson-Davis had 14 points.
